Does the church, or town hall clock still exist in Exeter ? It was built by C. B. Hess about 1920 . He also built two other clocks in church steeples , or town hall towers in two other towns in Ontario .
The last that I saw it was in 1957 non running . his nephew had the gear to repair it . I heard some years later that it was not running at that time either , buy an uncle .
C. B. Hess (his father) was a clock maker from Germany . By the way both were C.B. Hess father- son , father may have been Hesse , and dropped the e .
The son built these clocks .

Now it is complex with preserved historic interior. The part of Town Hall is Astronomical Clock - one of the most favourite place in Old Town Square. It contains figures of apostles from 1410. 12 apostles appear every hour between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.Old Town Hall was established 1338.

We are considering some houses to purchase in Watford, ON. It seems like a wonderful historical little town. Can someone give me some practical information about it. Maybe someone out there is actually from there. Thanks
