  Abby\nThis is a 2 Day combined course. The Non-restricted Canadian Firearm
 s Safety Courses is completed on the first day.  The CORE Hunter Education 
 Course, as well as all testing, is completed on the second day.\nCanadian F
 irearms Safety Course &ndash; Non-Restricted Only\nThis  Canadian Firearms 
 Safety Course runs over 1 day from 10 am to 5 pm. Testing is completed on a
  day following the instruction which is booked independently from the cours
 e.  There is no additional charge for the testing.\nThis is the course requ
 ired for your non-restricted Canadian Firearms Possession and Acquisition L
 icence (PAL).\nThis course includes 8 hours of instruction on the date of t
 he course and includes the testing which must be completed on a subsequent 
 day.\nTesting cannot be completed the same day as instructed.Course content

 r&rsquo;s Licence:\nIndividuals younger than 18 years of age are only eligi
 ble to hold a non-restricted firearms license and as such will not be permi
 tted to write the restricted portion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course
  exam nor take the course for credit.\nA minor&rsquo;s license permits the 
 borrowing of non-restricted firearms for:\ntarget practice;organized shooti
 ng competitions;hunting; and,instruction in the use of firearms.A minor&rsq
 uo;s license also permits the acquisition of ammunition, unless there is an
  age restriction under the provincial or territorial law.\nPlease contact T

 ter Education Course is completed over 1 day from 10 am to 5 pm.  Testing i
 s completed in the course time. Successful completion of the CORE Hunter Ed
 ucation course is required to obtain your Fish & Wildlife ID (FWID).  You n
 eed a FWID to buy a hunting license or to apply for Limited Entry Hunting.

 ecreation Education (CORE) Program is British Columbia&rsquo;s Hunter Educa
 tion Program. It is also a great program for anyone interested in outdoor r
 ecreation.\n \nThe CORE Program consists of a practical firearm handling te
 st and a written examination on all of the following subjects:\n&bull; Cons
 ervation&bull; Ethics&bull; Law and Regulations&bull; First Aid and Surviva

 the CFSC prior to attending the CORE &bull; Animal Identification&bull; Bir
 d Identification\nThe CORE Manual and the Hunting and Trapping Regulation S
 ynopsis are the resource manuals used to learn these subjects.\nPlease Brin

 of completion if applicableTwo tests required\nThe written examination cons
 ists of 75 multiple-choice questions based on the CORE Manual and the Hunti
 ng and Trapping Regulations Synopsis.\nYou must obtain at least 56 points o
 verall to pass the written examination. Supplemental information from the C
 ORE Manual is not tested.\nThe practical firearms handling examination requ
 ires the safe handling of two of the five types of firearm actions, includi
 ng the identification and loading/unloading use of dummy ammunition. A mini
 mum score of 23 out of 30 is required for a pass. The examiner will provide
  the firearms.\nIndividuals who have satisfactorily completed the Canadian 
 Firearm Safety Course (CFSC) need not complete the CORE practical firearm-h
 andling examination.\nYou must provide the CORE Examiner with the completed
  CFSC report form showing successful test completion to be exempt from the 
 practical firearms handling examination.  A Possession and Acquisition Lice
 nse (PAL) and/or Possession Only Licence (POL) are NOT acceptable for the e
 xemption to the CORE practical firearms handling exam.\nGraduate Certificat
 e\nWhen both examinations have been successfully completed, the examiner wi
 ll give the student a document of completion. The student must send this fo
 rm, along with a $30 administration fee payable to the BCWF, to obtain a gr
 aduation certificate.\n
